What is our mission in Iraq?

Our mission in Iraq is to get the hell out! George W. Bush and Jack Keane can't fight this war alone. The JCS says no. The Iraq Study Group says no. The Dems have overridden Harry Reid's blunder in giving Bush the benefit of the doubt. Everyone now knows if you give Bush and inch he will take a mile. The answer is HELL NO, WE AIN'T GOING!

Now the insurgents have given Bush an exit route.

And you know what else about our "mission" in Iraq? There needs to be a full accounting of what role John Negroponte may have played in helping to establish the death squads in Iraq. Remember the talk of the "Salvador option"?

At the minimum the United States was aware of rogue Shiite operations as far back as July 2005 - a year and a half ago (see link below). I guess the excuse was we were fighting the Sunni insurgency and Al Qaeda in Iraq and not focusing on the Shiite death squads. We certainly helped train up this people in the Iraq army and police force so they could then moonlight as militias and death squad members.

I guess the excuse again is that we were playing geostrategic politics just like when we sided with Saddam Hussein in his war against Iran. Does the U.S. know how to fuck things up or what?
