We need one of those monkey butt emoticons. |
I don't like filling out forms - never have - even college application forms. I file state and federal income tax returns. They are accurate measures of my income. That should suffice to qualify my family for PeachCare. NOBODY can force me to fill out multiple forms every six months to qualify my kids for PeaceCare. |
then stop bitching about people being uninsured. You have to do something in your life for your self. You shouldn't expect everything to be handed to you.
Do you get food stamps, or card or what ever food assistance they have now? _________________ You can't hold a liberal responsible for what they say, it's character assassination. | |

I'll be happy to (though it will require navigating through a non-sequitur).
By your choice, you have no health insurance.
Hospitals are required to provide care for anyone who presents themselves at an emergency room. If you are deemed indigent, the taxpayers will pay for your health care. (If you present at a private hospital, you will soon be moved to a public hospital after you are stabilized.) If you are not indigent, some (not all; some is protected) of your estate will be depleted prior to taxpayers picking up the tab for the remainder.
Thus, the poor and those who choose not to purchase health insurance have free catastrophic health insurance provided by the taxpayers. (Keep in mind: This is a virtual policy. Don't check your file drawer for it.)
Those who have insurance do not have access to this virtual insurance unless both their lifetime limits of coverage and their own estates are first depleted - thus, the impetus for bankruptcy for those with insurance facing bills from catastrophic illness. (And remember: Those without insurance facing catastrophic illness may also seek bankruptcy protection when hospitals seek payment for their health care, an option that would be open to you if anyone in your family faces a catastrophic illness.) _________________ www.newstimesonline.com | |

People are not automatically enrolled in PeachCare. They have to jump through hoops and then jump through those same hoops over and over. Why are their so many uninsured children in Georgia? Are they all "lazy, irresponsible" parents like me?[/color] |
-------- Your wife is bitten by a black widow spider. She develops complications, goes into organ failure...and stays in a coma for a month. Hospital bill is 400 grand.
The family farm is in YOUR NAME, not hers...and since it was inherited, it cannot be attached unless YOU are the sick one.
The hospital never gets squat from you (too much effing paperwork anyway)...they charge it off to indigent care, and since you live in Jefferson County, AUGUSTA taxpayers get the majority of THAT bill.
YOU have made a conscious decision to relinquish your responsibilities. Pure laziness.
You have lost all rights to even voice an adult opinion in the world...at least any opinion that should be noticed.

I already told you that I would sell my share of the farm to my sisters at book value to pay for my wife's catastrophic medical bills. But now that you tell me I don't have too because the state will pick up the tab for my "pure laziness and gross irresponsibility" then GOOD. So be it. Eff the system.
YOU backed torture at Abu Ghraib and at Guantanamo. You called torture of the severest kind "like a college prank". I'd rather be a ne'er do well than an American who supports criminal behavior in the White House and by U.S. personnel. Eff you, Austin.
Go ahead an repeal all estate taxes. Lower corporate taxes too. The sooner this corrupt system collapses into chaos and anarchy the better. _________________ Augusta Alternative

As we all expected, you want nothing other than the collapse of the U.S. That's why you relish the deaths of our soldiers and praise any enemy of the U.S.
